Lesson 1.6 Uploading WordPress

In this lesson we are going to upload WordPress to your own hosting account and get ready to start installing WordPress.

Task Number 1

We will be uploading WordPress to your web hosting account. You will need an FTP software to upload the necessary files. If you do not have an FTP software go and Download SmartFTP Here
Task Number 2

Install SmartFTP and login to your server with your FTP username and password, you would have recieved this information this from your hosting company or Domain Abbey if you are using them,
Task Number 3

Create a folder on your server and upload WordPress into that folder. We used the folder TestBlog in the video but you can use anything you wish such as "WordPress" or you may also upload WordPress into the server root folder which is usually public_html if you wish.
